Ming Dynasty Chinese Restaurant in Atdens

I used to absolutely love Ming, but at some point they downgraded their chicken quality and it is almost inedible now. It is tough and very difficult to chew. I sadly won’t be returning.

Great selection of food and great service. There is always something lot of customers, but the place is large enough to easily accommodate. The staff are very cheerful and immediately take care of anything you need. Don't want to eat in? No problem. They'll give you a to-go container and you fill it with anything you like. The price works out to be about $5 a pound.

I'm always a little hesitant to try new Chinese, since my very first job was in a Chinese restaurant and it is the food I compare all others to. But we walked into a clean and inviting restaurant, complete with very large Oscars in an aquarium.The food was absolutely delicious and had large portions which neither of us could finish.All in all, this was a great stop along our many miles of continuous travel. It is because of this that I am giving this restaurant a high rating on the Rikki Recommends scale.

This is the best Chinese food around! Their hot and sour soup is perfect. Every dish I’ve eaten has been delicious! Great food and service.

Hot and fresh every time I get a to go plate. I love their Sesame Chicken. The staff and employees are also friendly and generous every time I order my food. Best restaurant in town.

The food wasn't like I'm used to. The sauce tasted sour and rice was way over soy sauced. Noodles were mushy Out of 45 dollars spent could only eat the chicken plain of my sweet and sour chicken meal. Even the crab Rangoon filling looked and tasted bad. the best chicken with bad everything else.

I ordered General Tso...very dry chicken and very little flavor..had no kick. Husband ordered Shrimp and Garlic Sauce. He said very dry no liquid and no gatlic flavor. Ordered Spring Rolls...that was good.

I've ate here since I was little and I'm 32yo now. This used to be the best Chinese food in town. They had great service and friendly staff on top of that. Now.... The food is so overcooked and hard that I cannot eat it. They have one lady that is respectful and not downright rude. One young lady argued on how my meal was supposed to be like when I've been eating the same thing for almost 20 years now. They wouldn't replace it either even though it was my birthday dinner. Couldn't be worse now and don't even think about ordering it to go because the food is even worse that way.

The best Chinese food restaurant in Athens. They keep adding new items to their menu that are so good. I haven't had anything from here I didn't like.

Wasted our money. Ordered two things of sweet & sour chicken.. They don’t premix and they’re chicken is hard and crunchy. May have been good if we took it home and threw everything in the skillet ourselves 😂 The rice that came with it was crunchy. They’re broccoli and chicken was decent.. but it’s way over priced and not worth it.

The food is usually pretty good, but today I tried something different and I noticed something. For a change, I ordered shrimp chow mein. I don't usually order shrimp anything, but I was up for a change. The shrimp were tiny - fair enough, because there were plenty of them. BUT...they weren't deveined. None of them. I can see missing one or two, but every single one still had it's black vein. Don't know about you, but for the cost of the meal, I'd rather not have to eat the intestinal tract. That equals either pure laziness or skimping on the quality of the ingredients. They got 3 stars because we've eaten there before and everything else is pretty good. Avoid the shrimp.

This place is old, cheap, and blunt. My family wanted Chinese food, so we stopped there. I wish we would just pick up a pizza from Pizza Hut. If you crave for oriental food, just go somewhere else.

My favorite small Chinese restaurant. This is a none buffet restaurant. The dishes are superb and very authentic. Favorite soup is Hot Sour soup. Twice fried pork dish has the most amazing sauce. The size of the dishes are very adequate plus the Quality and Quantity is superb. Highly recommended.

The worst general tso chicken I have ever had egg rolls very very well done it was a waste of 40dollars this place is usually really good but tonight our entire meal was trash

My family and I have frequented Ming Dynasty for many, many years. The food is excellent, the service is excellent. The restaurant is clean and well run. The staff is outstanding. We will be visiting for many years to come.

I ordered a sweet and sour chicken. The veggies were uncooked. Is that normal to serve raw veggies with this meal? The chicken was hard as a rock. This is the second time I have been here. Wasn't impressed the first time either. Probably won't go back. You would be better off getting chicken nuggets at McDonald's and pouring sweet and sour on it.

Get the garlic chicken or the scallion beef! They're both my favorite. 😁 I usually get extra broccoli on the garlic chicken and mushrooms added to the scallion beef. The eggrolls are the absolute best thing you will find in a 50 mile radius. You won't regret coming here, I've never had anything I just didn't like.
